
Holly Bank Nursing Home is a family run nursing home providing high quality of care and attention to residents, including those with various nursing care needs, dementia, respite care, palliative care and end of life care. All staff are passionate about our values: dignity, choice and comfort.The Home was opened in 1983, the stunning Victorian Manner which has its own unique character; the home currently run by Max Healthcare Group Ltd. and is located close to the historical town centre of Southport providing many wonderful places to visit.
With 24 hr Registered Nurse provision, our qualified, experienced, and dedicated nursing & care team are led by the homes experienced Nursing Manager. We strive to continuously provide high-quality, person-centred care tailored to our residents needs in a homely, family orientated environment. Our qualified Chefs work hard to ensure our menus are seasonal and tasty, an excellent choice of home cooked food is available every day, all freshly prepared on site. Observing personal preference is important to us, offering choices and freshly preparing and cooking all our meals on site in our professional kitchen.


At Holly Bank our accommodation is over three floors with 12 beautifully decorated bedrooms which are designed to meet various needs. Our bedrooms are well furnished in a traditional and homely style, complete with adapted electronic beds and chairs so that residents are able to maintain their own independence in comfort and security. Rooms are very big and spacious, residents are encouraged to decorate their rooms however they choose, adding personal home comforts if they wish. The home features a five-person lift, and disabled ramp ensuring easy movement around the home and an attractive garden.
Our activities programmes are devised to be person centred and meet our indvidual resident’s needs; the programme has a multifaceted approach and is devised to be creatively, physically, emotionally, and cognitively stimulating. Activities that feature weekly are arts and crafts, group discussions, story time, quizzes, word games, music reminiscence, film reminiscence and a variety of games. We strive to ensure that our residents always feel appreciated, treated with respect, dignity and with an acknowledgement of their own psychological and emotional needs. The home enjoys regular visit from ministers of all religious denominations as well as a private hairdresser every week. At Holly Bank we welcome both private and financially assisted residents alike.
